No dogs are hurt or killed in this movie. There are two dogs fighting on the beach at the beginning. Neither are injured,we don’t see any dogs after this scene.

No, but a demon cries varying iterations of "You never wanted me!" to a girl's father through the girl's mouth. The demon is referring to a fact that the girl herself doesn't know: When the father had to choose between saving his pregnant wife's life or that of their unborn daughter, he chose the wife (but got the opposite outcome).
28:30-28:35 - a horse is shown outside laying in a field. No blood is shown, but it does not seem to be living. It’s a very abrupt scene. When the dad actor says, she doesn’t have her rain coat - look away if you don’t want to see the scene.
The first scene of the film is two dogs fighting on a beach. Neither appear to get injured, it’s very brief, and it doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the plot.
Two dogs are fighting in the beginning. It’s not clear whether this is an organized thing or just happenstance. No one seems bothered or tied to stop it though. We don’t see either dog get hurt at all.
there’s a severely injured/dead horse they’re trying to move in a rainstorm shortly after the girls go missing. It cuts to it very quickly so it’s hard to catch, but is only onscreen for a total of maybe 4 seconds between two frames
An extensive kit is done when the girls are found again. It’s an uncomfortable scene where doctors are mentioning what they’re doing and both girls look visibly distressed.
During the first hospital visit, sexual assault is explicitly talked about, and a vaginal exam is performed on both girls to inspect for evidence of rape. They express obvious discomfort during the exam.
One of the main characters is in Haiti during the devastating 2010 earthquake. People are seen plummeting down a staircase trying to escape a building as it collapses.
There are some gross things but what is actually shown seemed pretty tame to me, for this type of movie. It's more the thought of it than the actual visuals. I wouldn't consider it excessive gore at all. Nothing like most horror movies. I have to block my eyes with most and I didn't have to at all with this. There is a scene where a woman's eyes are stabbed and that's disgusting but the scene itself wasn't that graphic, in my opinion.
When Angela’s dad visits a homeless shelter to look for answers about his daughter’s disappearance, two homeless men joke that Angela (age 13) ran away to look for sex.
There's a spiritual guide/priestess (or something) who mentions that she used to be an oncologist; that's all. No descriptions or depictions of cancer.
Patients in a mental institution. They're background characters; we don't get to know them or hear about their backgrounds or diagnoses. The two main kid characters are rather briefly "suspected" of being mentally ill, when in fact they're possessed.
Not 100% those things exactly, but the girls in the film do act strangely and have gaps in their memory, which may be uncomfortable for people uncomfortable with disassociation and the like.
I believe a doctor says "her dissociative identity disorder" about the behaviour of a demonically possessed teen girl, as if it were her legitimate diagnosis.
A man goes into a rather narrow and low-ceilinged tunnel in the forest, and it made me feel uncomfortable. It's not crawling-sized, so to speak, but I'm sensitive to tunnels.
No, but there's a tragic situation in which a pregnant woman is so badly injured that it isn't possible for both her and the baby to survive - a doctor tells her husband that the baby wouldn't survive the things that the doctors would have to do to save the mother's life. Since the woman is unconscious, her husband is asked to make the decision. We learn soon after that the baby survived, while the mother died (off screen). --- SPOILER --- We find out later that the husband in fact asked the doctors to save his wife, not the baby. So you might say that he asked the doctors to let his wife miscarry or give her an abortion.
A character tells about having an abortion before the events of the movie. The demon mentions it and blood is seen on the abdomen to show that it knows. No details are given.
A very brief scene in the church where one of the young girls, showing early signs of possession, moves her hand under her dress and it is suggested that she is masturbating, but it's blink-and-you'll-miss-it
SPOILER ALERT Extremely sad ending, it ruined the movie for me. I didn't expect it to have a closed ending but I didn't expect it to be SO sad. One girl dies and seemingly gets dragged down to he'll while she's screaming and crying. The other girl lives. I can only imagine that, as far as the movie goes, the girl who dies continues to suffer for all of eternity.
Brief horror violence, including neck-breaking and eye-gouging, with some blood splatters; cuts and split or lost nails shown in brief bloody detail; blood-stained clothing.
