Although many people reported "no," there is an argument to be made that a child is abandoned by a parent (Dr. Ferrier). It's worth noting that the parent's decision comes from a desire to keep their son safe. Yet, if this is a topic you find triggering, I recommend skipping this film.

The spectacle of one character's gory death (Reynolds played by Yeoh) might be upsetting if this is a sensitive topic for you. Although I did not feel the film intended to make a spectacle of brutalizing any particular gender identity, it's open to interpretation.

The audience is gaslighted too, as a character is drugged without consent which results in breaks with reality. Part of the mystery is figuring out what is "real" and what is not.

jumpscare descriptions
SPOILERS (saw in theaters so no timestamps)
-when poirot talks about god on the stairs
-right before they enter the girl's bedroom for the first time (after the maid says "harry")
-right after poirot says "fake!"
-when poirot bobs for apples
-when everyone is together in the dining room
-minor acoustic jumps in the basement
-any time poirot is in the bathroom: biggest jumpscare of the film is just after he looks into the sink!
-after poirot meets a young girl
-when poirot enters the girl's bedroom alone
most of the jumpscares are fakeouts besides the bathroom scene.
bigger spoiler for more details: major acoustic jumpscare is a parrot screaming very loudly.
i may have missed a few but these should be the big ones mostly in order
