Everyone’s death was a spectacle. Other women might feel differently, but as a woman I didn’t feel like women were given any particularly special treatment.
The only thing that comes to mind is *SPOILERS* that the store owner’s wife is cooked like a turkey, and the killer tries to force the owner to eat a slice of her leg meat. So that’s sort of special treatment, but it didn’t strike me in the moment.

No, but it’s a little sad to think about how he saw his owner get killed and then the cat is left with the body in the apartment (though the cat seems more concerned with being happy he got dry food). It is told earlier a friend was going to come take care of the cat while the owner was out of town; this tells me someone will be there eventually to take care of the cat and he won’t be alone for long!
