Everyone’s death was a spectacle. Other women might feel differently, but as a woman I didn’t feel like women were given any particularly special treatment. The only thing that comes to mind is *SPOILERS* that the store owner’s wife is cooked like a turkey, and the killer tries to force the owner to eat a slice of her leg meat. So that’s sort of special treatment, but it didn’t strike me in the moment.
It is discussed at the beginning of the film that the football players of two opposing teams got into a brawl, and you can see the black eye aftermath of that. Some of the players involved in said brawl do bully other students later on, but never physically (it is suggested that they will beat them, but they never do.)
A woman is cooked alive and served on a table, and another person is drained of blood into a goblet. Cannibalism is suggested but never actually happens on screen
EXTREMELY graphic with a meat cleaver. I had to completely look away for about 20 seconds. There are other head squashes, but the one at the dinner table is horrific.
A girl is jumping on a trampoline and a knife is inserted into the trampoline from underneath. It suggests that her genital areas hit the knife when she fell back down from jumping
This is one of the gorier slashers I’ve watched. The FX are very well done and they do not shy away from showing you everything. Every single person who is killed is killed in a grotesque manner.
They are all pretty short, but there are three instances
Slight spoilers below, including one character death spoiler.
there’s two very close to each other in the first half, and one near the ending.
The first two happen at a party scene.
1) We are introduced to this party scene following the dialogue of “Evan’s right, the police aren’t doing anything.” Right after this line it cuts to an outside shot of a house where a man runs outside and v*s with visual and audio, maybe about 3-5 seconds. You do see some remains of it on the character’s face after it takes place. The party host says something about “another satisfied customer” and you do hear another g*g in the background.
2) Maybe about a minute later or so, the main group enters the party after the host says something like “let this group in as VIP”. There is a shot of the party taking place in the living room, and then there is an audio of v* and g*. This one was maybe only a second or two.
3) The final scene is near the climax of the film, during the dinner party portion. The killer says “Kathleen has been cooking all day” and uncovers her body. Her husband, Thomas is then panned to and there is a visual and audio shot of him v* for about 3-5 seconds. Throughout the rest of the scene there is visual of v* remains on his chin.
The “turkey buttering” scene could be seen as suggestive depending on how you look at it, but it was never outright mentioned. The girl on the trampoline wanted to do “semi-naked cheerleading” for her boyfriend, and as far as we can tell the killer didn’t stick around to gawk at the show.
Yes. A cheerleader gets on a trampoline and does a strip tease for her boyfriend. You can see her butt as she starts to get out of her outfit. There is no explicit sex but she is being intentionally sexual (consensually) for her boyfriend.
*Spoilers* The killer stabs a knife through the trampoline, stabbing her while she wears only a skirt and no underwear, which can be quite disturbing to see.
