Ben Foster is clearly mentally unstable and murders Richard and Ron. The police find their bodies around the 46 minute mark.
He abuses all the partners he had that are mentioned or interviewed during the episode.
I haven't yet finished this series, but I am about to finish episode 2 and have something to say hahah! Basically, each episode in this series covers a true crime story told by victims, police officers, family and friends etc... A majority of this series is just a series of events narrated by those people, but when things start to get dark or something someone says cannot be shown in photos/videos, they use very basic animations to show how the scene went as it is explained. In episode 2, at around the 44 minute mark, there is a part where Seemona talks about getting sick and there is a very brief (maybe two second clip) of a shadow of the animated version of her being sick. It has incredibly quiet audio of that happening and lasts a few seconds maximum in total. It is basically as mild as it gets but i thought it was worth mentioning with regards to the animation, too! I am horribly emetophobic and this didn't trigger me, it just made my reflexes go to turn my volume down lol! I will update if there is any more scenes :)
Ben tortures Jaimee and Justine. Justine has permanent brain damage from the 3 days he tortured her for. The abuse he inflicts on Amber and the stalking are also very much along the line of torture as well.
The entire show covers domestic violence. I've only seen episode 1 so far but I would recommend not watching or watching with someone who makes you feel safe if Domestic Violence is a stressor/trigger for you.
