In the town of Blithe Hollow, Norman Babcock can speak to the dead, but no one other than his eccentric new friend believes his ability is real. One day, Norman's eccentric uncle tells him of a ritual he must perform to protect the town from a curse cast by a witch centuries ago.

Kinda. There's the ghost of a bird coughing because it has a plastic rim on its neck, but it's brief. It happens at the end of Norman's walk at the beginning of the movie.
Debatable whether Aggie forgives the people who got her sentenced to death (pretty much out of discrimination) but Norman does forgive his verbally abusive father.
Not in the traditional sense but sort of. A girl suspected of witchcraft was sentenced to death and her spirit resurrects the court who killed her to get attacked and tortured by the townsfolk as zombies. The protagonist calls her out on this and she is distraught. She’s redeemed by the end of the film, if nothing else.
yes there is Norman is always being told he is crazy and there is never such a thing as ghosts and so he was often left alone same as the guy who was following him
yes, a slug in a mannequin and a sudden swarm jumpscare that wriggles out of a teddy bear and swarms the main character. avoid 32:40 to 33:00 if you are triggered by swarms.
There is a scene where four people stand in front of the townspeople and to show that they support Norman by holding his hand. The last guy, instead of grabbing Norman’s sisters hand, he grabs her butt. Not shown though and very brief
it's rated pg, but some moments could upset you if you are particularly squeamish, a character has gets stuck under a corpse and the zombies can be pretty nasty
There's a scene that takes place in a bathroom. The main character is talking to a ghost that makes the toilet shake and eventually explode. A person hears the noise from the outside and when the main character leaves he implied that he was pooping but he wasn't.
While Norman is actually able to see the dead, the way his dad, his sister, and the rest of the town treat him is strongly reminiscent of ableism against those who suffer hallucinations/delusions.
A girl was executed for performing witchcraft and the overall treatment of her and Norman’s power is akin to discrimination. The writer and co-director is gay so it’s impossible that he based these elements on discrimination he has faced or witnessed.
alvin is very lustful over courtney, it's implied he touches her butt during the scene they all hold hands together at the steps of the town hall. courtney is also lustful over neil's older brother
There is a brief scene of a television when someone is firing automatic weapon. Right after that you see a woman loading a gun. She later shoots a zombie and another woman fires a gun as well
