I don't know if it's gore, but someone spends quite a bit of time groping around inside a still reeking skeleton's chest cavity to find something, and it's revolting.

Two teen sons are callously abandoned by a criminal mother when she runs from the law with her partner. In the scene where she leaves them, one of the boys says "Can't you take us with you?", and she replies, "I can't use you", then gets in the car and speeds off. It's clear that she never took proper care of them; they were obviously emotionally neglected by her their whole lives - and also raised to be criminals. When she re-enters their lives 30 years later, she lies and manipulates them for her own gain.

The perpetrator is an orangutan, which makes the (non-violent) assault scene kinda silly. But when, later on, we see the victim lying in a near-fetal position on top of a bed, clearly traumatised by the assault, there's nothing silly about it. We're obviously meant to find his trauma funny, which made me feel bad.
