Pretty much all the kids die, mostly offscreen. But the first 2 kids(the brothers) deaths are much more graphic than the original film. The younger brother is tormented before he is killed, and it’s hard to watch and hear. He is technically killed offscreen but you hear him screaming and flesh tearing/bones crunching. If you want to avoid it, skip the whole scene where he’s brought to the Marsten house in a sack.
The main character’s parents are referenced as having died in a car accident when he was 9. Mark’s(the main kid who is black) parents are killed brutally in front of him. If you want to avoid it just skip through after Mark’s dad hears a noise and goes out to investigate(we know that never ends well anyway).
