When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it's up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.
This movie contains 6 potentially triggering events.
The animal control man is the villain and is overly violent with his methods, including attempting to electrocute them and throw them off a cliff. Typical "this is a movie about animals" villain fare. In addition, in the opening the Farmer slams a door open on the Dog. This is a running gag from the show.
There's a fly that's caught by a spider and eaten. This is in the opening.
As well, the Farmer sprays bug spray thinking it's deodorant and three or four bugs fall from the ceiling.
The Farmer grabs people in the "shearing a sheep" hold so they can't get away as he shaves their heads. In addition, animals are captured by a grabby claw and detained.
No one falls to their death, but trying to push an entire shed full of animals + the farmer off a cliff is a big scene at the end for the villain. It gets pretty close.
There are several farts including when Shaun is reaching for someone's keys near his butt. I would say farting happened three or four distinct times. The characters also belched very loudly in the restaurant.
No cops in this movie. The animal equivalent, the animal catcher guy, is shown to be evil and out of his lane. He does abuses of power such as using unnecessary force (taser on a sheep? it's a sheep, man) and leaving his jurisdiction to chase animals back to the farm they're in and try and throw them off a cliff. This is all showed to be bad and he's fired from his position.
After the Farmer hits his head, he's taken in an ambulance to the hospital. The Dog sneaks in to try and rescue the Farmer and gets mistaken for a doctor, and is pulled into a surgery room. There's a couple gags where The Dog doesn't know what knives to use, etc. It's nervewracking but they don't actually let The Dog do surgery.
There's a scene where all of the main characters are stuffed into one shed and are tossed around, etc. It's a pretty small space and might set some folks off.
The baby sheep cries and everyone has to cheer him up with a song and dance. It's silent crying. However, there is also a goat at the beginning of the movie who makes, you know, goat screaming sounds that might set people off in a similar way.
In the opening scene all of the farm animals are babies with pacifiers, being bottle fed, etc. In addition one of the main characters is a baby sheep who comes along for the whole story.
This movie has no dialogue. The dismissive way the doctors treat the Farmer after he's had his head injury might feel reminiscent for some folks with disabilities to their own experiences.
