There's a dead fish in a trash can at the beginning of the movie, it still has its face.

Characters are held physically, characters are tied up, there's a lot of kidnapping and abduction so there's a lot of grabbing. A character is restrained and they attempt to kill him around the climax of the movie.

There is no cannibalism, there is a LOT of discussion of cannibalism. Specifically, Boxtrolls eating humans. One character likes to be very graphic with her descriptions.

Some characters have crooked teeth because they're British, but teeth aren't damaged on screen.

For most of the movie you believe that one has been. There's a lot of talk about baby snatching, etc, a festival celebrating it. It's most of the plot.

Children are threatened explicitly with death, and the villains attempt to kill a child, but the kids survive. Infant death is mentioned over and over, however.

A character overdoses on cheese, something he's allergic to that gives him very strong physical and mental reactions. He dies from this.

It's implied that the main characters father is dead and there's a pretty dramatic flashback that implies it too but at the end it's shown that that dad isn't dead

It’s unlikely that Snatcher is trans, given that he never objects to or shows discomfort from his underlings referring to him as male. The Madame Frou Frou persona feels more like a manipulation tactic to further anti-boxtroll propaganda.

No, however, leeches are used which might be similarly important if needles and syringes bother you.

No, but the oppression of Boxtrolls is a clear metaphor for antisemitism. They’re hit with blood libel and rounded up by secret police. The Boxtrolls survive but the premise was triggering to me, honestly.

Snatcher dresses as a woman to trick the people of Cheesebridge, most prominently Portley-Rind. It's not shown in a flattering or sympathetic light.

No, but the depiction of the villain is transphobic ("evil" cross-dresser trope).

I would say yes. A drag queen dies. The drag queen is the villain, which doesn't necessarily make it better. Just more information.

I'm surprised that people are saying no to this. Just because they're not outright saying fat jokes doesn't mean there isn't any, they're just visual gags. (spoilers below)
Example of this is, The villain is a fat person, he's supposed to be seen as disgusting and comedic to the viewer. He's allergic to cheese, which makes parts of his body swell up, exposing parts of his body. The allergic reaction is especially bad at the end, his stomach out to view. The townspeople look at him in disgust when they witness his allergic reaction.

Men discuss the beauty of a woman saying she has "cheese on her bones" etc, which read as "locker talk" to me.

I would say yes. A character explodes near the end, it's just yellow primarily but it's alarming. As well, gore is frequently discussed and described in detail by the characters. And, again, there are leeches.
