A young family moves into a historic home in Georgia, only to learn they are not the house's only inhabitants. Soon they find themselves in the presence of a secret rising from underground and threatening to bring down anyone in its path.
This movie contains 17 potentially triggering events.
There are multiple scenes with close-ups of maggots, beetles and other bugs, usually when the characters go into "ghost vision" mode, very distressing as they happen suddenly in a jump scare
Little girl goes to the hospital after almost drowning in the tub. She just sits on an exam room table, there are no medical procedures or equipment shown.
The ending is actually really sweet, [SPOILER] the trapped ghosts defeat the evil ghost, freeing themselves, and Mr. Gordy helps Heidi ride her bike, waving goodbye before disappearing. (Also it never says in the movie that Mr. Gordy is mean -- I think the person who said that it does is mistaking Mr. Gordy for his grandfather, who WAS mean.)
