The man makes her continue anyway, basically telling her she's not allowed to say no. It's fairly graphic. You find out after the scene that they had previously negotiated together that she would tell him to stop, but he would keep going unless she used the safe word of "Mr. Snuffles". We’re also meant to think the policewoman who empathizes with the victim & believes her is, as her partner calls her later, “a dumb bitch”.
