When his dysfunctional family clashes over the holidays, young Max is disillusioned and turns his back on Christmas. Little does he know, this lack of festive spirit has unleashed the wrath of Krampus: a demonic force of ancient evil intent on punishing non-believers.
This movie contains 40 potentially triggering events.
There are children fighting in the beginning of the film and later it’s revealed the fight started because one of the kids was telling little kids that Santa doesn’t exist
The family is presumably being watched by Krampus and his minions the whole movie and at the end it’s shown that he is keeping an eye on them to make sure no one loses Christmas spirit again
A pair of parents forget their baby in the car momentarily and later when the family is being swarmed by monsters and all huddled together to try and protect eachother they forgot the baby on the floor so she gets easily taken by the monsters
A dog whimpers off screen while trapped with a monster and we never see the dog again until (SPOILERS)
all the events of the movie are reversed at the end and everyone including the dog is okay
A woman is hung with Christmas lights around her neck but gets cut down.
Not really a hanging but a boy is tied up with a chain and dragged up a chimney in a distressing scene
⚠️SPOILERS⚠️
The toy has drool coming out it's mouth when it eats the kid in the attic but no v* in that part. When the mom comes over to the kid after looking in the vent the kid v* it's quick and the audio isn't too bad it's one cough and it happens. Close your eyes when the mom (dark hair) gets up from looking in the vent (time stamp:1:09:19) close your eyes for about 10- 20 seconds or fast forward until you dont see the kid anymore. The mom (light hair) is choked but no v* we later see the kid looking wet (most likely from the toys spit) but no more v* (from her) at that point. (By the way the scene with the mom getting choked the angel also wraps it's tongue around her face. It's just gross but no v* related stuff and no drool)
There is mention of a past incident of human poop being found in a bed though one character says it was dog poop and during the movie it’s mentioned that someone “clogged the crapper”
A woman doesn’t serve ham at Christmas dinner and a family member says “What are you now, a Jew?” In a derogatory manner though it seems like she’s more upset about the ham being absent than disliking Jewish people?
Though this isn’t a movie for young kids I would say Santa is not spoiled as the whole premise is that not believing in Santa and Christmas will be punished because it is real. There are children that say Santa isn’t real and one of them ripping his letter to Santa up and not believing anymore is what brings Krampus.
