Just to piggyback off what the other reviewer said, at the end of the film they tell you what happened to all the characters in the future. How everything turns out for them. The dog included. So they say that he lived to something like 100 years old in dog years. That's the only real reference to the dog dying.
No animals were hurt, injured, harmed, or killed in real life during the filming of this movie. Any YES votes are trolling, or they misunderstood the category.
There is a scene toward the end where a fence crashes down on the dog and it appears hurt/sad. Within minutes, however, it is revealed that the dog is just fine and he licks the boy's face, happy again. If you don't want to see it, then close your eyes when the dog is chasing the boy and the kid being chased tells everyone to meet him back at the Sandlot as he runs past. To reiterate, the dog is totally fine once they get the fence off him.
There is an incredible dog who, near the end, appears to be injured after the fence comes down on him. However, he turns out to be perfectly fine and survives through the end unharmed.
(SPOILERS) one of the characters jumps over the fence where a (presumed) violent dog lives to get the baseball, he doesn't die and wasnt in any real danger but he thought he was
There is a dream sequence where Babe Ruth (who is dead by the time the events of the movie begin) magically enters a character's room to give him a motivational speech. Whether or not that's Babe Ruth's ghost visiting him is open to interpretation.
When the Sandlot kids win against the Tigers, they go to a carnival and ride the Trabant" with chewing tobacco in their mouths. Partway through the ride, they begin to be sick, before vomiting on themselves and the people lining up to get on the ride next. The beginning of the movie also shows the Sandlot kids spitting on the ground frequently.
When the Tigers come up to the Sandlot with their bikes they start roasting eachother and Phillips says “It’s easy when you play with a bunch of rejects and a fat kid.” Which he is referring to Ham. Also in the pool scene when Ham waves at the girls he jumps in the pool and it jokingly splashes a ton of water all over the girls
