Young Dorothy finds herself in a magical world where she makes friends with a lion, a scarecrow and a tin man as they make their way along the yellow brick road to talk with the Wizard and ask for the things they miss most in their lives. The Wicked Witch of the West is the only thing that could stop them.

Terry (the dog) was seriously injured during filming when one of the Winkie guards accidentally stepped on her paw, spraining it. She succesfully recovered.
Dorothy's House infamously lands on the Wicked Witch of the East, we see her legs sticking out from under it afterward, but nothing graphic. We don't actually see the house land on her.
Dorothy dresses fairly modestly and no one is shown to be attracted to her throughout. Most characters either wish to destroy her, or protect her from the witch--if anything, the ones in the latter camp treat her more like a little sister than anything.
There's a common urban legend that an actor killed himself in the background of the scene. The "hanging body" in question is very clearly a large bird moving its wings. There are cranes all over the set for some reason and when one raises its head, its neck kind of resembles a rope, which is how the rumor started. No actual deaths happened.
When the image of the Wicked Witch of the West is looking out of her crystal ball at Dorothy (who is trapped in her castle), she briefly, but clearly, looks directly at the camera.
