Due to the general content, it's implied many animals are abandoned. One dog is shown trapped in a cage without any ability to get out and no owners to free it.
Very often shown and/or mentioned. The group take pills to keep themselves awake, there is someone shown snorting cocaine in the first episode at a party, weed is mentioned a few times. One of the supporting characters is a recovering addict.
A character cuts themself to stay awake, and the cuts are seen being made. The visual is very similar to more traditional self harm and can be triggering.
Episode 3, after the flashback scene about a minute or two in Katy v* up the pills and then Dave fishes them out of the v*. You can skip straight to the intro
Not sure if this counts but in episode 3 (19:40-20:05) someone cuts open a skull with a rotary cutter (making an awful sound) and then pulls the bone away from the brain, making a gross noise.
In episode three, an individual is depicted as cutting their own chest area. In episode six there is self-harm in the form of burns?, biting self, and cutting of the arm. There are multiple instances of individuals slapping themselves in the face.
A character with mental illness is violent towards himself, and at one point thinks he might have been violent towards another. Also, as sleep deprivation takes its toll, characters begin to act more angry and erratic, including those with mental illnesses.
Spoilers: Somebody chooses to act in a way they know will kill them after learning terrible news, but in an effort for their sacrifice to help the others.
More bittersweet.
Major spoilers: One of the main crew dies before they get to a safe area, but the others are finally safe. There is a twist ending implying danger.
