SPOILERS
Certainly a big issue with this movie. Given the circumstances - she's in a desperate situation and will literally die alone without her 'abuser'. But when given the opportunity to go back into hibernation, she still chooses to be with him. So yeah it's fucked up.
There is a scene in which the female lead, who has been dating and residing with the male lead for some time, repeatedly punches and kicks him before raising a prybar-like object to kill him. He offers no resistance and she spares him.
No one in this movie is manipulated and made to question their own sanity - or "gaslighted". Deceived? Yes. Driven to desperation? Yes. Gaslighted? No.
The male lead is shown clipping his beard with a pair of scissors in preparation for shaving. An Android character slams his face into broken glass, cutting open his forehead and revealing mechanical parts beneath the "skin".
There were a couple of sudden coinciding with sudden sound effects that might be triggering for some. These did not seem to be intended jumpscares, but my wife jumped.
there is no scene where someone is sick however there are mentions of nausea or someone saying they are going to be sick even though they aren't and there is a scene where one of the characters is coughing and bending over and he put his hand on his mouth and we could see a bit of blood on his hand but its not too graphic and it didn't really have a sound like gagging just coughing so for me it wasn't that triggering.
Note that defibrillation is depicted multiple times, both in the medical bay and as part of the hibernation pods' resuscitation routine. Potentially triggering for some.
The ship has a medical bay with a diagnostic pod that performs various futuristic medical functions and some modern-day ones. Depiction of diagnostic scanning with laser, a diagnostic computer terminal, defibrillation, use of an oxygen mask, and injections.
The male lead runs frantically through the ship's corridors, yelling and looking for other people. In another scene, he is briefly trapped in a hibernation pod, where he thrashes, pounds on the glass, and hyperventilates. The female lead panics, hyperventilating and repeating herself when she realizes the implications of being awake. She panics again in a later scene, breathing hard and stating that she "can't see".
Mild strobe effects. The ship's core is depicted as a violently swirling mass of flames. Some sparking and flashes of light from self-destructing robots. Some blinking lights on consoles, etc.
there’s a couple scenes that show a characters full behind and sex scenes with a fully nude couple that are very revealing but no full breasts or genitals are shown in the movie.
The female lead is struck in the arm by shrapnel, which she pulls out. Some bleeding and a bloody bandage. The male lead also sustains a mild nose bleed, which he dabs at with a cloth. A character coughs blood into his bare hand.
