After escaping with Newt and Hicks from the alien planet, Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 161, a prison planet and host to a correctional facility. Unfortunately, although Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, a more unwelcome visitor does. The prison does not allow weapons of any kind, and with aid being a long time away, the prisoners must simply survive in any way they can.
This movie contains 34 potentially triggering events.
The nameless Doberman seen at the beginning of the film is killed by a Xenomorph Chestburster that had been implanted in him. His death occurs during the funeral scene, with shots cutting away from the funeral to show a second of the death and promptly cut
There's a story of an addiction to morphine by a doctor. He ended up killing people because of it, but he's in recovery in the movie. No footage of the addiction.
If you chose to watch the assembly cut, an ox dies because of a chest burster at the beginning of the movie. In the original 1992 cut, a dog dies instead.
depending on what version you watch, there's either a dead Doberman or a dead ox shown in the beginning of the film. the Doberman is in the original theatrical cut, the ox is in the extended edition.
The xenomorph in this movie is referred to as a "dragon" by the character Golic and this is repeated by Ripley when she asks to question him. Some fandom have dubbed this movie's xenomorph "the dragon" for that reason. In that sense, a dragon does die in this movie.
Ripley is accosted by a group of inmates, and it's heavily implied they were going to rape her, but another inmate stops them before any damage can be done.
Newt, the 12 year old girl introduced in Alien, is killed off screen. Her body has an autopsy performed on it to see if her death was caused by a Xenomorph, but most of it isn't shown, with the camera mainly focused on Ripley's reaction.
SPOILER: Ripley willingly jumps into a vat of molten metal that is mined at the prison to kill the queen chestburster inside her, sacrificing herself in the process.
The inmates were jailed at a double Y chromosome prison, but not jailed because of that... they mention in the movie that they're all various thieves, murderers, and rapists. The other comment mentioning the double Y chromosome being the reason why is misleading. Not saying it isn't ablism. It's similar to an all girl's prison.
If you are squeamish, I wouldn't recommend this movie. Let me give you an image; a puddle of blood filled with lice, and a man's face no longer recognizable after a beam falls on him.
