Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca's friends contend with their own romantic issues - all of which collide at the prom.
This movie contains 5 potentially triggering events.
A side character is struck by a vehicle, breaking his collar bone and arm. Both are compound fractures (bone sticking out). Bones are also shown in later injuries/dismemberings.
Becca is basically trying to injure herself pretty badly to see visions of Edward; don't think she directly says it but I think Jennifer accuses her of it
The female lead attempts to kill herself by crashing a motorcycle, but suffers only mild injuries. The male lead tries to get himself killed by essentially breaking vampire law in front of some vampire executioners, but they ultimately spare him.
There are no incestuous relationships, the female lead's father makes an inappropriate remark regarding her breasts at the beginning of the film. Potentially triggering.
There are a couple of scenes featuring a sex doll, though it is not used on-screen. There's also an extensive scene in which the female lead makes forceful and unwelcome advances toward the male lead, including taking off her clothes to reveal a (dominatrix?) costume underneath. Some sexual references in dialogue and a few obscene gestures.
Multiple scenes of extremely exaggerated blood spray from disproportionately-sized wounds. Vampire bites, drinking of blood from champagne glasses, beheading and dismemberment, a head injury, and multiple compound fractures. All effects are very fake, but still unpleasant.
