Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie's last dance.
In the opening scene set at a bar, Eddie tells Venom that he’s too drunk and wants to stop drinking, but Venom continues to pour drinks for them. They leave the bar acting noticeably drunk.
There are dogs in kennels, used for fighting according to one of the characters. But, there is not one single scene shown of dog fighting, organized or street fighting.
Plus, the dogs all get rescued from their kennels, so all is safe for viewers. This really should be 100% NO votes, since they only talk about the subject and nothing is shown.
Again very briefly and it’s during the water scene and eddie’s leg is pulled briefly back. As well as the scubas kinda not making an effort to resurface when they have a hold (even slightly) on eddie.
Bloody remains are spit out by monsters that eat people. Heads are bitten off with undersized blood spurts. Other bloody scenes including stabbing, gunshots, and acid burns.
Presumably yes. The explosion was a burst of flames and Rex was the one to initiate the explosion; so I’d say the likelihood of Rex surviving is close to none. It does not however actively show someone being burned alive, but it’s presumed.
There is a woman who is a survivor of a lightning strike who is permanently disabled and has no use of her right arm, a disabled parking badge and scarring on her arm. She is played by an able bodied actress, Juno Temple. A character who is deaf/HOH is played by a hearing actor, Stephen Graham.
The only big one that had me startled was at the end. When they presumably blew up the aliens using the helicopter and then it was smoky and the aliens just jumped up right in front of the helicopter (camera)
Considering the first two have visual scenes I was apprehensive, but I had no problems with this one. The only mention is in a van ride where they say a dog v***, there is audio but it's not very realistic.
Extended scene where Eddie and Venom are in a fast-flowing river, trying to escape from pursuers in scuba gear. The scene is pretty perilous and involves a waterfall. Eddie and Venom make it out, but a woman is killed.
Quite a lot of swearing. There is one use of f**k plus another that is cut off. Several uses of s**t or s****y A few uses of ass, including by a kid. One use of slut.
Yes! At the start of the movie Venom and Eddie had no idea they were being stalked/watched. It wasn’t until the middle of the movie they realized and wasn’t being watched/stalked without knowing.
Eddie makes a comment about having won “sexy awards” before, which is likely a tongue-in-cheek reference to Tom Hardy once being named UK’s Sexiest Man Alive, but this isn’t really that notable of a fourth-wall break.
There is a woman who is a survivor of a lightning strike who is permanently disabled (I say this because she not only has scars and never uses her left arm but also has a disabled parking badge). Her name is “Dr. Paine”. Pretty on the nose even for Marvel. She is played by an able bodied actress. Symbiotes could be an allegory for disability, as well as being plurality/DID/OSDD/UDD allegory. Someone with a symbiote calls her “broken” as he also thinks he is, but generally an ableist idea to align brokenness to disability.
The ending focuses on the death of a major character and how much the surviving character misses him, portrayed through a flashback montage set to music.
This movie probably pushes the limit for PG-13 blood. An alien eats people and grinds them into a bloody mist. Eddie has blood on his face and clothes pretty often. A man is impaled by an alien. Eddie gets a long gash along his side. An alien is ripped apart by an airplane engine. A wounded soldier bleeds into water. Four criminals' heads are bitten off by Venom.
