Admittedly, the story of her life puts trans and autistic people in a very negative light but I don’t believe the documentary itself misrepresents any minorities (aside from misgendering and deadnaming Christine).
In one of Chris’s comics, a 14-year-old girl is not allowed to participate in an erotic photoshoot due to “dumb laws.” There is some debate as to whether this actually refers to age of consent, or to child labor laws.
chris constantly over steps her female friends boundaries (by touching them or making gross comments) throughout the series. she also sexually assaults her mother, though that's not in the series yet.
Only fictionally. A character from the comics named Cryzel has her leg and tail amputated, but they are miraculously reattached (but it’s not very consoling).
Also, another character named Punchy has his tail ripped off, in a reference to the anime Dragon Ball. Although this is slapstick and the first example is meant to be negative, his tail does not grow back.
Chris gets a piercing on her perineum, calling it the "unclit." It gets infected and eventually rejected from her body. After the "unclit" incident, she begins to listen to binaural beat videos to "grow a labia" in her perineum. After using the binaural beats, she ends up getting drunk and cutting a hole in her perineum after "feeling her labia wanting to break through." There's a blurred photo of the hole in her taint in the part it takes place in.
I don’t think it’s shown visually, but towards the end of his life Sorbet (the Chandler’s cat) has seizures. Allegedly he escaped the house and was struck by a car, and had issues with his brain until his passing.
Both in reality and in fiction. Chris is harassed to a point which may be considered torture (informally, as no legal case has been filed). There are also several torture scenes in Chris’ comics featuring depictions of real people. As well as enemies of Chris writing out a lengthy description of themselves torturing a character from the comics.
Only fictionally, in the Sonichu comics two antagonists jump to their deaths because the building they are in is collapsing. Although Chris wrote this scene to be comedic, it unintentionally comes off as morbid and a little touching.
Yes, repeatedly. As well as every other offensive label towards mentally challenged people, often from the mouth of Chris or the trolls. If you are very sensitive to bullying based on mental capacity, I would avoid this documentary because that is exactly what it is about (although it does not condone it).
As of when I’m writing this comment, the documentary hasn’t gotten to this part yet, but Chris claims to be able to channel spirits, and pretends to be possessed by Sonichu characters
During the Idea Guys saga, a brief audio clip is played of several anime characters being gunned down. Although definitely a bizarre scene, it can be jarring.
Not currently In the documentary, but Chris’ parents were constantly afraid Chris would be institutionalized.
Chris did visit an institution in 2022, and has been released.
Christine is autistic IRL and her autism is one of the most recurring themes. Sadly, her many terrible actions and bigotries have been exploited by ableists to justify their ableism (e.g. comparing all autistic people to her). The documentary rarely misrepresents her (aside from initially misgendering her), though.
Kind of? One of Chris's "gal pal" trolls talks about how her ex boyfriend gave her a magic potion/elixer that caused her to miscarry/abort the child she was carrying. It isn't real, it didn't actually happen, but it could potentially trigger someone.
There's a point where one of Chris's "gal pal" trolls talk about how her fictitious boyfriend used an elixir to abort a baby that they had. It obviously wasn't real, but it is potentially triggering
the person playing kacey's father, mathew, calls chris the f slur multiple times during a phone call. during chris' early adult life, she is extremely homophobic and makes a sonichu comment about a "straight vaccine"
chris calls someone a jew in a derogatory way. at 2:10 of ep 45, someone requests chris to make a hitler medallion, chris makes one. when asked why they actually made the medallion, chris states that if they didn’t, the troll would’ve won. which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
several of the trolls call chris fat and mock her for her weight. kacey bullies her for always eating fast food and not working out. many trolls called barb snorlax due to her weight
the Lars call in episode 33 also is a form of blackface. Lars is played by Alec, a white man. The Lars character is an offensive caricature of black people.
Chris is very religious and brings it up a lot whenever she feels like being smug. The documentary hasn't gotten to this point yet, but eventually Chris believes herself to be Jesus Christ reincarnated.
-chris sexually assaults and rapes her 80 year old mother. she stated that shes had thoughts/dreams about having sex with her mother before. (not in the series yet, this is recent news)
-trolls also mock chris for wanting to have sex with an imaginary sister.
-chris defends an incestuous realtionship they read about at the end of part 51. she goes into detail about how its not wrong if the child is over 18 and about sexual abuse (relating to incest)
most of the documentary revolves around sex and chris desperately trying to get a girlfriend. there are videos of chris masturbating and humping a sex doll and her console. her sonichu comics are filled with sex scenes, though sometimes they are censored with fruits. she proves that rosechu is a cis woman by drawing a camel toe on her in several comics. chris also draws a crude drawing of one of her irl friends nude. in april 2012, chris claimed to have lost her virginity to a prostitute named "mia hamm"
Definitely in the comics, Chris made several homeless characters and for some reason proudly boasted that the fictional town in the comics has a large homeless population.
Depending on what happens in the weeks after Chris’ hearing, Chris may become homeless.
