no abandonement but a character does say "what are we gonna tell his kids" about a dead character which im not sure if might be triggering in some way?
It’s coming from a place of denial and fear but a character does initially try to “rationalize” supernatural phenomenon and convince his friends that what they are seeing/hearing/experiencing is not real.
Technically not. MINOR SPOILERS. One main character shoves another character when said character insinuates that he could’ve done something to save his friend’s life.
In the beginning of the movie, someone gets fatal wounds to his head, and there's a pool of blood. I wouldn't say his head gets squashed (and I don't consider the scene gory). If someone else's head is squashed, I missed it.
There is lots of gore in the form of mutilated animals, gutted people, gored people
By horror movie standards it isn’t excessive. But to normal movie standards, it is shocking. If this is your first bloody movie, mentally prepare yourself for the audio that accompanies it
SPOILERS: In the cabin at the end there’s a child’s doll shown briefly in the room next to where the main character is held captive. He later lights the cabin on fire but the doll isn’t shown again.
----- SPOILERS ----- SPOILERS ----- SPOILERS -----
Not classic ghosts, but someone has "visions" of 1) a dead friend moving and speaking as if alive, though still with the wound that killed him, and 2) three dead friends seemingly alive and completely unharmed, just standing and looking at him.
Technically no but I am saying yes because there's a scene where a bunch of shriveled corpses are chanting and whispering and are very close to resembling mannequins.
Yes the main character suffers from PTSD after watching his best friend die early on in the movie. He has nightmares and hallucinations caused by the monster about this event
The other characters treat him like it was his fault. The victim blaming can be triggering for some
The only thing that would be considered sexual, that I can recall, was a comment a character made about getting a hj. It’s very brief and other than that, nothing else.
