Not physically abusive, that I recall. But a lot of lying and grifting from Alice's mom. Extreme homophobia and rejection from Dana's parents. Bette's father refuses to accept her sexuality and the baby she and her partner conceived with donor sperm. Jenny's stepfather seems to be very emotionally abusive to both her and her mother. Shane's father treats her and all women very poorly. Shane's stepmother abandons her son on a doorstep when she discovers her husband is cheating. There are a lot of bad parents portrayed in this show.

Shane snorts non-specific drugs occasionally, and takes non-specific pills. The show mostly only shows her using the drugs and not much of her being intoxicated by them. It's used to show she's an addict without depicting some of the more tragic side effects of that behaviour.
in season 1 episode 14 bette and tina are in a fight and bette starts trying to have sex with tina while she’s struggling and hitting her; she even says no twice (bette also rips her dress in the back trying to get her out of it). tina does end up reciprocating but it very much looks like r*pe in the beginning.
In the first episode of the second season, Tim gets naked, climbs in bed with Jenny, and proceeds to take her clothes off and have sex with her, despite her saying no at least a dozen times. It's very uncomfortable to watch.
Shaving scene at end of season 2, cutting scene season 2 episode 13 minutes 47 to 51. Self mutilation is mentioned throughout season 3. Two or three times throughout the entire show someone shaves without harming themselves.
S3E12 through S4E1 a plotline that involves separated parents suing each other for full custody that culminates in one parent abducting the child away from the other.
Late in season two there are two different characters who go to the hospital, one for cancer, one for birth. Season 3 a main characters has cancer and there are a handful of hospital scenes.
Several characters are androgynous and/or trans occasionally get misgendered by side characters. Main character, Jenny, does not like to correctly gender, Max, a trans man

At least once an episode there is a sex scene, both homosexual and heterosexual, but usually the former. There are a total of 97 scenes throughout the 6 seasons
Jenny accidentally hit a man on a bike with her car door. He's fine just a bit steamed. season 1 don't remember what episode. maybe 10th possibly earlier.
