This game is specifically about breaking the cycle of vengeance and violence against parents who wronged their children, and choosing who you want to be rather than someone who inflicts the same pain on others. One character learns this lesson over the course of the game, while another is killed because he will not break the cycle.
Atreus is mentioned to have frequently gotten sick prior to the events of the game, and nearly fatally falls ill at one point during the game. His illness is caused by something resolvable and he is cured.
An antagonistic dragon is killed, another dies from an off-screen collision (although injuries to its wing are shown) however three magically chained dragons can also be freed. There is also a giant dragon-like serpent who gets injured but lives.
In Tyr’s warehouse, Kratos is restrained during a puzzle and is killed if you can’t solve it quick enough. Also, at the end of the main story, during the boss battle, your character is restrained by magical vines.
Early in the game you are ambushed by a group of cannibals. You never see the cannibalism but they tell each other of their plans to eat you and your son.
At the beginning of the game, you drop a large stone mural onto someone with the intent of crushing them. The person not only survives but is completely unharmed.
Possible trigger of scars on arms and wearing of bandages on arms that comes up right from the beginning of the game. The implication is that he had the blades of chaos scar his arms.
Debatable - Helheim creates visions of Kratos' past actions (previous GoW games), it's never said to be PTSD but is implied that the flashbacks cause some distress.
There is a timed puzzle where the timer is the water level rising in the room. If the player does not succed the puzzle in time, there's is a small cutscene in which Kratos drown. The puzzle is then restarted
