A prostitute is restrained and sexually abused in ways she didn't agree to. There may be other incidents that I'm forgetting, this is a very very violent show.
The dog death at the beginning of the show is an act of domestic violence. There's little or no intimate partner violence shown on screen, but there is abusive/controlling language and one person tells another about being abused.
In episode four a character is revealed to be transgender. The people around them don't seem disturbed by this, but the character is distraught and believes their life is now over. In episode five the character is killed by a stray bullet during a gunfight.
There are a couple scenes with prisoners and kidnapping victims being held in too-small cells. There's a sense of being trapped but not of suffocation.
In season 1 a character misuses prescription anxiety medication and alcohol. A major plot line in the second season involves a cult using drugs as a means of control, many characters are involved.
