There is one line that says something along the lines of “My mom doesn’t talk about religion a lot, but I think it helped her.” and there’s a bible and cross, but otherwise there’s no mentions. This scene is easily avoidable if you just don’t look around in Dawn’s childhood bedroom after Gus’ story.

Kind of. You leave Edie without a proper goodbye, and the family members who pass don’t exactly get to say goodbye.

No parents are directly abusive, but there are two instances in which neglect leads to the death of a child. One of these is more intentional than the other, being a child sent to bed without dinner, but both are neglectful and could be considered abuse by some. The story is also based around generational trauma so there's a lot of that.

You could argue that Edie’s manipulation involves some gaslighting about the curse, but it’s not very direct.

No on-screen hitting of children, but the first death is a direct result from a child being locked in her room without dinner. While this isn't direct abuse it is neglect and could still be triggering.

Other parents die by various causes including illness, drowning, and of complications during childbirth (the child survives).

No toys are destroyed but there are scenes in which the player walks through various bedrooms, playrooms etc. with abandoned toys and furniture, as well as a scene that includes bath toys while depicting the death of a baby. This could still be upsetting to some so I feel it is worth mentioning.

Molly’s story has two, one in which she is a shark and one where she’s a sea monster. There’s also a scene on a boat during the story. There is a scene where Edie travels across a beach when the tide has gone far out, but she doesn’t go underwater. All of these are sadly unavoidable.
[Slight spoilers!]
During Gregory’s story, he is in a bathtub and is later shown in a large area of water and ultimately is unable to escape. I think you can avoid this scene by simply not reading Gregory’s story.
