Even after the father dies, this fact is occasionally brought up, including vivid flashbacks which cause Isaac to become briefly suicidal. At one point Derek throws an object at Isaac in a deliberately similar way.

In s01e04 Derek is seen throwing up some sort of black fluid, starts at 33:18 and ends at 33:26, it is seen and heard.
In s03e07 Danny is rushed into a hospital by Ethan, he is then sat down and briefly examined by Melissa and throws up very suddenly. Once again seen and heard, starts at 02:26 and ends at 02:37.
In s03e22 there is a scene directly at the start of the episode where Deaton is pulling something out of the mouths of Ethan and Isaac, and it's safe to assume he did the same to Aiden before, while there's no actual vomit, there's a lot of gagging/coughing from the two of them, and the shots of black in the water hints that one or more of them brought something up. Seen and heard, starts at 00:48 and ends at around 01:38.
It's important to note that this is based on the Netflix upload only, I can't be certain it won't vary on other platforms. I haven't seen past the end of s3 yet, I'll add any more I see.
