Bones, skulls and a dead elephant’s body are shown (not graphic) and the hyenas threaten to eat the animals of the pride land often. The lion guard often get into deadly situations where they could be hurt but come out fine. S2E5 mention of scars death in the fire at pride rock. S2E6 Kion’s parents are threatened. S2E18 Scorpion stings Simba and he almost dies. S3E16 there is a warning pre-episode but some characters have to say goodbye to their grandmother/mother who closes her eyes to signify passing, there is lots of crying and mourning. There is a scene where it is implied her body is under a blanket of flowers and leaves but nothing is shown. There is also a scene where kion goes to describe what scar did to mufasa but is cut off. No but Bunga is a honey badger which are immune to snake venom, he gets bitten and thinks he is immune to everything and starts putting himself in dangerous situations thinking he can’t be hurt (season 1), the lion guard constantly put themselves in danger to help others

Often species are made the butt of the joke or stereotypes example; when a baboon is stubborn “ugh baboons” or when Kion thinks a hyena is bad just for being a hyena. This could be seen as racism/specism. Bunga is made fun of for being stinky, “Crazy” is used . A zebra calls Bunga a mongoose and a hedgehog. Bunga (ND coded) falls into a sinkhole with Simba, Simba gets annoyed at Bunga for not “thinking before he acts” and Nala calls Bunga “Trying”. Mapigano bullies Badili for being smaller and “weak” and kicks him out of his home. Two hyenas are constantly picked on, mocked, called “fur brains” and eventually fired for being too “incompetent” by their leader. S1E20 Zuri says “Does my nose look big to you” Tiifu says “no it looks pretty” implying big noses are ugly. S2E18 there are paintings recalling Timon and pumbaas offensive “hula” dance which is culturally appropriating very and offensive. S2E22 The hula thing is brought up again
