I typed yes even though it's mild and only short. There is a scene where a person (the inquitor) gets a black cat out of a cage and holds it by the neck for a pretty long time, during the scene the cat is meowing and making sounds of discomfort but other than that unharmed. It's brief and usually neck holding doesn't hurt cats but i felt it was worth mentioning.

Have to add how a poor girl (who apparently had to prostitute herself in order to get food) doesn't ask for consent when getting sexually intimate with the young novice guy who has never been with a woman or had any experience whatsoever, kinda just taking advantage of his curious virgin state bc he was there and not using her like other monks did but was nicer and kind.
