Between approximately 40-48mins 2 dogs are killed. Both are in cages in the cargo hold when the lead character pulls the small one (chihuahua or Pomeranian?) from its cage onto her shoulder and it begins to squeal as the scene cuts. You next see her lapping blood from a puddle on the floor. A couple of the terrorists go down to the hold a see a tragic site of the dead dog laying its blood, then after finding one of their own guys dead assume it was the other dog and shoot it. You soon see that one laying dead as well. Horrible...
No but in a flashback the now struggling single mom vampire comes home and a neighbor comments how the baby’s been crying alone for two hours, later she messes up making formula and in frustration she growls at the baby which makes the baby scream and cry more but the mom quickly recovers herself
The main bad guy 'eightball' has locked himself in a car and injected himself with the vampire blood to intentionally turn himself, so the main character sets the car interior on fire and watches as he seemingly burns to death. Another minor character (old man in a flashback scene) is left (already dead most likely) in a building that is set ablaze. The plane is blown up at the end and all of the vampires are likely to have died in the subsequent blaze.
One scene in particular - in a flashback scene when the main character has started developing prominent canines (aka fangs) she uses a pair of pliers to yank one of the out of the bathroom sink. The scene cut before we had to watch her do it again though
One of the bad guys turned vampire is pushed out of the plane door, he gets caught and fights back for a bit but the sun hits him and he burns and falls out
As mentioned before, the pilot is shown dead with vomit all over his mouth and face. This happens at exactly 25:05 after a man with a gun says, "I said get the fuck down!" There is also a scene where the main actress comes back to life and spits up blood as she does. For someone who is really sensitive to vomit scenes, this may be triggering. I'd say it sounds similar to someone vomiting for those who are audio sensitive. This happens at exactly 35:48 when she starts to open her eyes up for a few seconds.
Sorta? There’s a part where the son is given something to knock him out by the authorities to “calm him” and wakes up restrained in an ambulance which he escapes
there's a moment towards the end where the kid is walking and we see someone pursuing him silently (wanting to kill) without the kid knowing. It's not a long scene
There’s a moment where they need to weigh down the cargo doors & Elias asks for “heavy people”. The camera cuts to a heavyset man who asks “What did he say?”
There isn't discussions, but there are stereotypes about Muslims perpetuated in the movie. For example, a huge one is that the hijackers set up for a few Muslims to be on board so they can be blamed for the hijacking. The other stereotypes follow that same narrative too.
Vampirism in the mother's life is shown in a way that traces a lot of links with having a chronic illness. As always with these kinds of depictions, it's a little icky
It depends on the point of view. Everyone on the plane turns into vampires and then die from an explosion (including the main character, Nadja), except from the boy and Farid that end up alive.
