In season one they find some farmers that offer to give them a meal. It is revealed to be human flesh. If the main character isn't fast enough the other people will accidentally eat it
Not exactly clarified what happened but there was a woman who was pregnant and in the next scene she wasn’t pregnant and had no baby. its possible she couldve had a stillborn, miscarriage, or the baby froze to death
There are a couple characters that get disabling injuries throughout the story, I don't think they are played by disabled people though I could be wrong
In Season 3, a man is emotionally abusive to his family and accidentally hits his son with a tool as well as a man hitting his daughter to prevent her from being hurt worse in Season Two
Mentions of addiction to tobacco in Season 4 with a man smoking and mentioned in Season 2 and 400 days with a woman who used to use drugs as well as more characters in the game smoking
To add onto the comment already here, in season 2, Clem is attacked by a dog who tried to steal her food. It's clearly an act of desperation/food aggression, but it does result in the dog being injured severely after she punches/kicks him off of her while he's biting her arm.
it's been a while since i played but i do remember there being at least one incident of there being a butterfly/moth that you had to interact with/try to touch in season 2 to progress, could be triggering for people with that fear
in season 1, there are a total of 2 times the word is used, both brushed over (although in s1 ep2, it is implied a woman's daughter was kidnapped and assaulted through a line of dialogue)
While it is not onscreen, there is heavy implications that a character in season 2 has been raped previously, though it's worded ambiguously as to if physical force or manipulation was used.
Season 1 has a POV amputation option, Season 2 has a character who'd had a prior amputation as well as a POV amputation [from the POV of the one doing it and not the amputee], and the final season has an offscreen amputation.
(Avoiding spoilers so no characters will be named) A character has a heart attack and is believed to be dead. Your character has an option to help the other character throw something heavy on his head to prevent him from turning or to tell him not to and try to stop it. The results are the same regardless of what you chose. Many walkers are bashed in the head in other episodes.
(SPOILERS) clem can lose a finger in season 3 by slamming it in a car door. another character has their finger cut off by a meat cleaver in the final season.
Technically? In season 1, a main character gets his leg stuck in a step after it breaks under his foot. He has to fend off walkers(zombies) while also attempting to get his leg unstuck.
(Avoiding spoilers) In Season 2 Episode 3, a character beats another character, causing them to lose vision in that eye, and another character gets shot in the eye in Season 3.
Sometimes the game will give you dialogue options with a character just to completely catch you off guard by jumpscaring you with a zombie attack on said character.
Also keep in mind that these are zombies and they’re supposed to be creepy so they tend to have jumpscares when they attack YOU.
A couple characters have cuts that need to be stitched up with a needle and thread. A doctor uses a syringe to inject drugs into himself and a girl uses a syringe on a baby to inject medicine
Claustrophobia is not directly mentioned, but in Season Four, many individuals are stranded in a small shack after the deck collapses and several others are locked in a freezer in Season One
there is racist language used towards the main character of season 1, Lee, in episode 2, as well as used towards the character Russell in the 400 days DLC.
No, but another person of color (Indian) does die first before a black man does die and a few moments later, an Indian woman is bitten and possibly killed immediately or dies later as well as a Hispanic man being shot and killed with his also Hispanic daughter dying of a walker attack later
no strokes happen within any of the games, but there is a character who does have a rather brutal head injury that causes her to show symptoms similar to that of a stroke
