It's a very grey area. A running gag is that Dave, who is in his mid-twenties, once went out with a girl called Beverley Macca. In the very first episode, it's mentioned that Dave has a gig at Beverley Macca's eighteenth birthday party.
Early in the series it's only stated that Dave fancies her and got a kiss from her at a gig after she'd turned 18, but later in the series this turns into him having gone out with her once, but apparently not having had sex with her.

As mentioned in other comments, Jim resents the fact that David Sr is on a disability allowance, thinking that he's just faking his disability or being lazy. Among other things, he calls David Sr's bone disease 'bone-idleness', and grumbles about how David Sr won't need to put any money towards Dave and Denise's wedding but will get a better parking space.
He also says "Get me put on a disability allowance, because this wedding's (c-slur)ing me."

Cheryl from next door is seen as a 'butt-monkey' character because of her weight, and the Royles make many jokes at her expense referring to her weight.

That I remember there are some instances of homophobic slurs used. They appear to be offhand comments in normal conversation, not viewed as negative by the other characters. This may not have been as shocking at the time when the show came out but I found it upsetting.

A couple of car horns from the road outside. Taxi to announce arrival and a neighbour to get attention.
