It is mostly neglect with how the main character is treated once she is orphaned and made to work as a servant. She and the other servant girl are kept in poor conditions in the attic. though they are barred from food at one point in the movie and locked in their rooms. One teacher does bully another student into crying with emotional abuse - it is later shown she abuses most everyone emotionally including the main character. No blood or severe bodily injuries to the children.

During the main character's fictional story she tells throughout the movie, a deer dies to give life back to the prince who was poisoned in the story. There is no blood or violence, the deer lays down next to him and it is simply said that "she gave her life" to him by the narrator.

This might be a gasp heard in the hospital or on the war field? I can't think of what people are talking about, no suffocation/smothering scenes or panic where people are like oh no--we've got to get him oxygen, it must be a blink and miss it thing.

It's WWI, there's scenes of that alongside a retelling of a princess captured by dragon (this is a hindu story). We see the father bandaged up and (perhaps a spoiler, I'm not sure) in the hospital due to the effects of war, when everyone thought he was dead.

Mistreated due to her race, but not torture in how we typically think of it. There's no backstory recited or wounds or trauma displayed except for that's she's really scared of being noticed.

Yes and no, it is believed that the main character's father dies in war. Though it is revealed later in the movie that he is alive and he was mistaken for a different soldier due to his amnesia and temporary blindness. It is mentioned a few times in the movie that her mother is dead though she does not die during the story, it is implied she died long before the movie's plot time.

Early 1900s, victims of war are lined up next to each other with only curtains for dividers, but no blood or gore or modern hospital gear. The feel is very ephereal with no beeping, but nurses are quickly running around.

One of the school teachers often is joked about her weight by her eating habits though most obvious joke is when she is eloping with a man and she tosses her suitcase at him for him to catch then jumps out the window afterwards and lands on him in a very children's movie/cartoony way. Neither are hurt and drive off together.

Mild, it is touched upon by a few characters when referring to the African American servant girl. Mostly in reference to her being a servant girl with "dark skin" as one of the girls puts it.

It's just the threat of it for characters, children are made to work so they won't be. But we do see someone trying to sell a flower on the street, people are not buying it. Her family is shown and appears to be suffering. The main character offers her food, but since it's just panhandling, we don't know if they live in a charity house or not. There's a person in the hospital and no one is sure who that person is. So the threat is there, but no confirmations.

Concept of God may be shaken or added to which is similar to how people may feel when Santa is discussed in an unfamiliar way. A little girl's mother is dead and another girl comforts her with an unconventional story about what it's like after you die which is unlikely to perfectly match anyone's belief system and may cause children to feel unsettled.
