The parents are Nazis, the father responsible for the slaughter of thousands of humans just on the other side of the wall of the house of their coddled children. The children themselves don't appear to be physically abused though.

Right after the big red screen there's a shot of a man showing a heron to his kids. It's flapping in his hands so wants to get away but doesn't look in distress and isn't hurt.

It isn’t clear except from her dress, but a woman from the camp is having sex with Hess— and likely doing so to survive/under duress.

People are (offscreen) gassed and then disposed of via a crematorium, but no reference is made to people being burned while still alive.

As many things in this film, you can only hear in the background (constantly) the horrors of the concentration camps.

around 1 hour 33 minutes, main character dry heaves/spits a few times as he's going down some stairs. it's not close up at all and the audio is not too graphic. watch out for it after he gets off the phone. don't leave the theater if you don't have to since it's right before one of the most important scenes like others have said!!

There is screaming and gunshots throughout the film in the background, all coming from within the death camp - it's a deliberate choice meant to disturb the viewer, and there's no question what's happening off-screen

This film depicts Auschwitz and the murder of thousands of Jews, and the privileges enjoyed by the people responsible for their murder, in addition to their wilful "blindness" - however the film makes clear, they are neither blind, nor deaf. They are simply indifferent and committed to their "duty" towards the Third Reich, and willingly undertake, tolerate or approve of the murder of these people.

A woman has sex (offscreen) with the commandant, and her treatment in the scene is very objectified. It is likely that she represents a real person, Eleonore Hodys, who was a prisoner under his command that he sexually exploited.

A Nazi is told to drown a man in the river. The man's cries are cut off so it presumably happens off-camera.
