Three young children accidentally release a horde of nasty, pint-sized demons from a hole in a suburban backyard. What follows is a classic battle between good and evil as the three kids struggle to overcome a nightmarish hell that is literally taking over the Earth.
This movie contains 21 potentially triggering events.
Dies the beginning, lives at the end!! Death is not graphic, but still scary, and sad. The body is seen throughout the film (as far in as an hour) as part of the horror.
A kid acts out by wanting to do dangerous things, listens to satanic metal music, etc. It's explained by another adult that the kid is having a hard time after his mother died, and is angry about it still, and to keep that in mind when he tries to get another kid to do bad things.
A tween cries after being levitated by his sisters teen friends. He hits the ceiling and breaks a light. He falls and immediately starts crying and runs away. He is ridiculed by being called a baby/needing pampers/Gerber through out.
A kid is levetated by teens at a party, he hits the ceiling and breaks a light. He runs away crying. The next day he is told "it was just an illusion" and "nothing happened"
Moths are shown throughout the movie, there is a bug zapper specifically shown to be very active. Moths are put in a jar with no holes in it ad a kid asks "I wonder how long they can last without air", etc. There are demons, small animal like creatures, that are killed en masse.
The young boys dog dies (actually is sacrificed, shown being lifted above a kids head and twirled around) and the body (mercifully, it is depicted by a very obvious stuffed animal) is constantly used throughout the movie for scare factor. The body is stuffed in a car, driven around to a vet that is closed, found in a bed with a bloody mouth, etc.
A child presses his hands against a man's face and the man's head collapses in on itself, gushing fluids. The head then falls to the ground, falling apart. Despite this, there is no blood, just a weird viscous liquid.
A character's mother, who had died 6 months previously, comes back from the grave to visit her child, and turns from a beautiful apparition into the dead dog. It's not gruesome, just a bit PG-13 disturbing.
Aside from horror-related freak outs, the main character cries in front of everyone after being scared and holes up behind a closed door upstairs. Brief moment.
