There's a drug in the world of the film that is injected through a needled device into the user's neck a few times in the film.

Consent is definitely blurry here in a few instances, but no sexual assault in the film. The one moment where someone is being coerced into a sexual act on screen with threats made if they don't give in, is over immediately when the person coercing them gets shot.

Around an hour and thirteen minutes there is a meeting with Wallace Shawn's character and a prime minister. The prime minister is tricked and his entire hand is cut off at the wrist and his bloody, severed wrist is shown quite a bit in the remaining minutes in the scene. Once this is over that's all though.

There's references to Justin Timberlake's character having been shot in the eye (depicted as a comic strip at the beginning of the film) and his scars are visible when he's on screen. In the final moments of the film Seann William Scott is shot in the eye and for the rest of the film his eye is mutilated and shown on screen a few times - this injury reflects the original injury purposefully.

This is for the original cut (running 2 hours, 16 minutes) I believe. Timestamp 44:19 - 44:22: There’s a quick moment when Starla is monitoring the LAX bathrooms that in the top right hand corner of her screen you see someone enter a stall and projectile vomit. No sounds, but visuals from above the toilet from a distance. Quick and over immediately after.

I think this is kind of watchable but you should be careful. There's no needle torture or weird medical scenes. There is a drug, Fluid Karma, which is a core plot point. The movie has several scenes of neck injections, most of the injections are very brief and not explicitly shown. The syringes they use don't look like modern medical devices, more like a hybrid between a needle and a hypo spray. We mostly don't see skin penetration or the actual needle. Consider skipping to watch the 1:04:00 scene and evaluating whether to watch the movie based on that - it's not a very impactful spoiler and is indicative of how this movie treats needles.

My movie length is 2:38:00ish

At 31:55, man is instructed to give an injection to unconscious person if he wakes up. We see a closed case which presumably contains the injection, nothing else.

At 46:00 the injection is given but it's fully off screen and not really telegraphed, I had to rewind to confirm it actually happened and easily could have missed it.

At 1:04:30, after roller blade guy leaves the car, Nora suddenly and aggressively injects Robert in the neck. We don't see the actual needle and it's a wide camera shot, no penetration shown, but definitely could be a trigger. He passes out a second later and she puts the syringe away. This scene is a pretty good indicator of what the other scenes look like, some are a little more explicit but mostly at this pacing and level of detail.

At 1:07:30 he borrows a cell phone from the arms dealer. A moment later the arms dealer has recognized him, and holds a gun to his head while quickly injecting him in the neck. Both of these look more like hypo sprays than syringes, and there is not explicit skin penetration or sharp metal shown.

At 1:24:00, Justin Timberlake is selling some Fluid Karma. We see him holding the needle, which does have a sharp tip and a sci-fi looking syringe. He injects it into his own neck, it's a wide shot but we do see skin penetration briefly. This is definitely the most visually explicit scene, though the other injections are aggressive attacks and not self administered like this one.

At 1:45:00, Boxer meets with Fortunio on the beach. Someone attacks Boxer from behind, wrapping a towel around his neck and holding him in place while Fortunio injects him in the neck. It's quick and we don't see the needle or skin penetration.

At 1:55:50, during the star spangled banner, we cut to officer taverner in the car with the draftee kid. He notices the drug syringe that Pilot Abilene has given the kid earlier, and holds it up to ask about it. The needle is visible for most of this conversation, with Taverner eventually injecting himself in the neck. Wide shot, no explicit skin penetration shown, injection itself is pretty brief. This is the longest the device has been on screen, maybe 10 uninterrupted seconds with it in focus.

At 1:59:00, we cut to the bearded wheelchair using general Simon holding a gun. He unloads the gun and there's a brief cut to the woman talking to him, then a quick cut back as we see him with a syringe in his hand. He immediately gives himself a neck injection. This is pretty explicit, we don't see actual skin penetration but they move the device to simulate it being pushed in against some mild resistance.

At 2:14:45, Taverner is in the ice cream truck while looters descend on it. He is incapacitated and reaches for a dose off screen which he quickly injects to his neck.

In the initial scene where Seann William Scott and The Rock are in the police car together they both use the n-word. SWS's character is "pretending to be a racist cop" and The Rock sort of repeats it out of shock. After that, there's no more.

The ending is firmly sad, but the movie does make an effort to comfort the audience through it. Has a message about finding personal happiness and caring for loved ones in the face of hopelessness. I'd advise caution.
