With police Detective Leonard "Nipper" Read hot on their heels, the brothers continue their rapid rise to power and achieve tabloid notoriety.
This movie contains 53 potentially triggering events.
a woman gets beaten up by a partner but it happens off screen, we see her be (quite violently) grabbed but after that only hear shouts of protest and bruises around her eye after the scene
Whilst the assault isn't visible, we still hear the victim crying out in distress and refusal of her husband.
Not "fully" onscreen, but more than enough to potentially trigger someone.
This happens when a drunk and angry Reg turns up to visit Frances.
one of the brothers (Ron) is shown to be mentally ill and likely has a learning disability- he is played by tom hardy, who doesn’t have a learning disability and (as far as i know) isn’t mentally ill or struggles in anywhere near the same way/ capacity as the character
They're saying that Ron, who clearly has Asperger's, is "psychopathic"/"schizofrenic" and a bunch of stuff he isn't. Him being violent and paranoid isn't part of his Asperger's, but he's not psychopathic or schizofrenic.
Near the end Reggie and Frances are talking about a war and Reggie is old enough to remember what it was like during the war while Frances seemingly can't recall anything. She must've been born either 1-2 years before the war or afterwards while Reggie must've been 10+ at the time to remember things from that long ago. Meaning there's at least a 8/9 year age gap
SPOILER!!!!! Do not read if you don’t want to know the ending
Both Kray twins are caught for murder and sent to prison, Frances kills herself due to Reggie’s abuse and general depression
