From the director of Wolf Creek comes this terrifying look at nature's perfect killing machine. When a group of tourists stumble into the remote Australian river territory of an enormous crocodile, the deadly creature traps them on a tiny mud island with the tide quickly rising and darkness descending. As the hungry predator closes in, they must fight for survival against all odds.
This movie contains 27 potentially triggering events.
The ex of boat captain has nothing to do with why the tourists are trapped. They were answering a distress flare from another boat not boy friends boat. Croc stalks in this film people do not.
There wasn't any alcohol abuse in the clinical sense, though there was some alcohol present & drunk; there was a charming local sitting at the bar with a beer at the start of the film, the 2 lads in the tinny (small boat) had some beers on their boat including some empty tins, & 1 of the characters finishes off a beer in apparent hopelessness
The monster crocodile dies during the final 11 minutes of the movie. It is killed by the main character after a fairly dramatic and bloody scene. I would advise viewer discretion
During one of the attacks a man is tossed by the croc into the water having bitten off his arm (which he promptly chews & swallows), & the main hero has some fingers bitten off towards the end
About halfway in the father of the family with the dad, mom, and child ends up getting snatched up by the croc. You'll see him get got - SPOILER (check if you're triggered by parents dying): He'll get killed and eaten right after the rope scene. As soon as he says "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." He gets snatched up.
A woman whose husband gets eaten freezes when the group is trying to escape. Also, with the events that happen the survivers will probably all have PTSD
The crocodile drags people into the water numerous times and it is implied to either eat them right away or drown them. A minor side character also is implied to have died the same way after his boat gets toppled by the crocodile.
