As per the other comment, there is a baby ghost in one episode, and a child ghost in 05x02, but you do not see their deaths. However a human baby does die in 04x08. Also a boy gets hit by a car in 01x04 and would have died but is turned into a vampire.

Not on screen. Annie, one of the characters, meets a man called Saul and they go on a date. It is revealed he had a near death experience in a car crash. Later he drinks and then drives and crashes his car, you don't see him in the car but his injuries can be seen in the hospital and he does from these injuries. It is a minor plot in s2. A car also hits a boy who would have died but gets turned into a vampire
