Yes. There is a clearly defined paternal relationship where the father slaps the adult son multiple times, the son is shown with scars on his back which it seems likely came from the father figure.
[even remaining vague, it's still a potential spoiler]
we learn someone was taken from their family as a child, taught to see themselves and their kind as abominations, used to hunt down and kill their people, tortured. They yearn for love and validation, and receive a mixture of praise / punishment / reprimands to keep them in check.
Ep1. Merlin finds several dead birds.
In the final scene multiple wolves are killed.
Ep2. A bear is killed. And the remains of the wolves killed in episode 1 are displayed.
There's a subplot involving a spider god; we see her represented in cave murals, and a spider is seen crawl into someone's mouth, across their eye and under the eyelid, and across a dead dog's body
Torture happens mostly if not entirely off-screen, but threats / descriptions are quite graphic. There's an entire scene with full view of someone's back covered in bloody cuts, presumably from being lashed.
Still watching so i'm gonna add to it but so far ep2, the main character wakes up after being unconscious and pukes a few seconds later, but i always cut the sound and watch somewhere else when that happens so i have no idea how bad it is, but its easy to skip
Ep4, the main character almost drowns, she pukes water a little when she wakes, but nothing too graphic
There are several scenes with old fashioned hospitals where patients are in cots and other people are tending their wounds. Not a modern hospital however.
