Not jokes, something much worse— severe verbal and physical abuse by a parent that focuses on the child's weight. They are forcibly humiliated. Their body is called every insult you can imagine. They are smacked, grabbed, and eventually beaten. They are forced on a scale and mocked. The abusive parent's rage is palpable, as well as the child's fear. It is the most triggering thing relating to fatphobia that I've ever seen in film.
