I would not describe Nicole or Richard as abusive, overall. However, several characters have neglectful or abusive parents, such as Nicole and Tobias.

Nicole's parents were always supremely strict with her and acted as if her life was meant to follow the path that they set out for her, down to naming her "Doctor Nicole" to shape her career path at birth. "The Parents" is about them talking with one another for the first time in years, with a strong pro-forgiveness message.

Marking it as no because it's shown several times that Nicole loves her family to death, but it's revealed that Nicole's parents were incredibly strict with her to the point of being suffocating, and one of her defining character traits as an adult is her anger issues.

Most of the times if a character is seen dead they come back in future episodes looking completely normal like nothing happened because of cartoon logic. Although this is not the case in “The Origins” when Richard keeps buying pet fish for Gumball when the fish keep dying.

Being sent to "The Void" could be considered dying, but most notable characters who go there later return. That said, due to the nature of The Void (partially an allegory for things being removed from the show due to being uninteresting) both characters who were sent to The Void only become significant characters after returning from it.

A bit of gagging but it's not realistic, sometimes you see a bit of drool but it's never anything close to what vomit looks like. In the Procrastinators, Gumball finds a chocolate bar behind the couch and tries to eat it. It keeps coming back and the screen goes black and you hear him vomit but it's very short and not realistic at all.

Anything that's "obscene" is the kid's verison. Darn, what the what, heck, etc. Damnation is said once during a ghost episode. Darwin also makes everything "safe" in another episode. Gumball tries to curse, but he's either muted or cut off.

Gumball makes a gesture to mock someone, but when questioned what it was, he didn't know what it meant. (It was similar to a middle finger. He blows a raspberry and raises his hands with his middle fingers facing him.)

In "The Dress" Gumball doesn't have any clothes since all his shrunk way too much in the wash and he has to wear his mothers wedding dress and everyone thinks he's a beautiful new girl.

Richard’s obesity is the b**t of many jokes, but not in a genuinely hateful way.

Sussie is a highly neurodivergent-coded character who is portrayed as "the weird kid". She is often mocked within the show.

In "The Lady", Richard dresses up as "Samantha" so he can hang out with old ladies because he doesn't get along with other guys. Gumball and darwin see "Samantha" and think she's Richard's side peice and that he's cheating on their mother. Gumball and Darwin get very angry with Richard who thinks theyre just mad at him for cross dressing. At the end of the episode, he goes and tells his old lady friends who he really is and they turn out to be middle aged men dressed up as well, they decide to keep dressing up to hang out. Gumball and darwin then start getting annoyed and say "why cant you just hang out as guys". It ends with Gumball and Darwin accepting their dad's hobby and saying "whatever floats your boat"

Whenever a character is naked, they put a blur over it. That or an object is conveniently blocking them.

Gumball (a few times, especially early seasons), Leslie (once), a few random characters with leaves over their privates (once). Ms. Simian's panties are shown in The Apology. Richard's nipples are shown at times.

Gumball and Darwin are adopted brothers and sometimes have questionable moments. Darwin is attracted to Gumball in "The Dress" when he thinks Gumball is a new girl and Gumball has a nightmare about having kids with Darwin. In "The Pressure" they kiss each other (though we don't see the kiss onscreen) and enjoy it, thinking they kissed their girlfriends instead. "The Shippening" depicts fanart of Gumball and Darwin in a romantic relationship.

There is a lot of sexual innuendo, but most will fly over kids' heads.

As of right now the movie appears to be in some manner of Development Hell. The actual ending of the show at the moment is sad and ominous, in a vacuum implying that all of the major characters die after the credits roll, which could upset younger viewers.

There are many comedic car chases and car crashes throughout the series, but no one is injured.

No crashes that I can think of, but in the episode where Gumball and Darwin cover for Larry, a plane comes extremely close to them to pick up the pizza

In the episode “The Neighbor,” Gary Hedges gets hit by a train. Also Gumball got hit by a bus according to the episode “The One,” although the only thing the episode shows is Gumball laying in a hospital bed with his leg in a cast reading get well soon cards and a card from Darwin saying “that bus should’ve ended you.”
