There is a man who is seen chasing the boys, he is shown capturing some. He keeps tabs on them and sort of stalks them as he frequents the places where the newsboys reside, and seems really determined to capture one of the main newsboys.

He’s played by an adult, but a boy about 14-15 is beaten with his own crutch and dragged off stage. The next time we see him, he’s bloody and bruised. It’s also heavily implied Snyder hurts the children in the Refuge and deprives them of food (etc “So far they ain’t brung us no food.”)

Someone takes a few shaky breaths during the song Letter From the Refuge, but that's because he's crying really hard, and it's pretty subtle.

There’s a fight scene at the end of act one and a nine-year-old boy is seen holding his arm in pain. Next time we see him, his arm is in a sling.

There’s a scene of a boy being beaten with a wooden stick and there’s a fight scene of people getting injured, but not exactly torture.

No. During the prologue, a character falls a few rungs down a ladder and has to be caught. Injury is mentioned, but nothing happens and the character is fine.

It’s mentioned at the very beginning that the main character’s dad died, and heavily implied that most of the newsies are orphans.

Variations of the slur cr*pple are uses both in affectionate and disparaging ways throughout the show to refer to a disabled main character.

Not in this version, since it’s been Disney-fied, but in other versions there is a scene in which a Jewish character is buying newspapers to sell; in particular, the 1992 movie as well as the original script titled “Hard Promises” in which an antisemitic slur is used in that version of the scene.
With this background knowledge, the newspaper seller’s “mistake” of giving the character 19 papers rather than 20 could be read as an act of antisemitism. But my verdict is no.

Most of the newsboys are homeless—very few have families. They either stay at the newsboy lodging house or sleep on the street. This is mentioned several times.
