This action and adventure comedy is drawn in simple appearance and combines cute forest animals with extreme graphic violence. Each episode revolves around the characters enduring accidental events of bloodshed, pain, dismemberment and/or death.
Pop is usually seen with a pipe in his mouth, so yes, he smokes and a character technically uses drugs. Also, Nutty seems to react to sugar as if it were a drug.
No domestic cat dies in the series but feline species do. in blind date a cat is run over, but doesn't die it just jumps scared. It's the cliché scared cat sound when someone does something messy.
Heavily. The dead animals include, Squirrels, Bears, Beavers, Skunks, Marmots, Moles, Porcupines, Chipmunks, Flying Squirrels, Rabbits, Moose, Sheep, Sea Otters, Raccoons, Mice, Tigers, Lizards, Anteaters, Deer, Pigs, Birds, Fish, Elephants, Orangutans, Rats, Pegasus, and Ants. At least one dead animal is shown in every episode. Some animals, such as the ones in the Ka-Pow spin-off episodes, don’t return after death, these characters include; Sneaky, Mouse Ka-Boom, Sensei Orangutan, Elephant Balloon Vendor, The Rat, Char Sui, Tiger General, and The Tiger Soldiers.
Cuddles is a regular character and is a yellow rabbit. Like every other main character, he dies or is severely injured in almost every episode he appears in.
Not assaulted, but in one episode (will update later when i remember the name) Disco Bear hits on Petunia and Giggles to their discomfort multiple times.
In I've Got You Under My Skin, Lumpy stabs himself in the throat with a straw.
It's ambiguous since everyone but Lumpy don't have necks, but in Autopsy Turvy, Shifty and Lifty get stabbed in the throat with recorders. Due to the fact that they made recorder sounds when they die, it's safe to assume this impacted their windpipes.
There are a few instances of characters being tied up or restrained in some way, but iirc no actual kidnapping with the exception of possibly Flippy (as seen in his flashbacks).
Being a gory show, there's a lot of razors. One notable scene is from Tongue in Cheek, where Sniffles is controlled to eat an apple covered in razor blades.
In one episode Cub gets possessed and additionally, there is an episode where Fliqpy dies but his soul is transferred into Cub’s tricycle. The tricycle is technically possessed by Fliqpy
Lumpy is eaten by a tortoise, Flaky is eaten by seagulls, Russell is eaten by an orca, several characters are eaten by killer ducks, Lumpy has been shown as a vampire and a cannibalistic giant, Flippy has consumed blood and Mime’s remains, characters are made into hot dogs and donuts, etc.
No characters are canonly autistic iirc, but Lumpy or whatever the moose is named is used as the butt of the joke most of the time due to him being not very intelligent
Multiple characters have anxiety disorders and seem to have panic attacks at times. These include; Flippy/Fliqpy (PTSD), Flaky (Anxiety, Phobias), and Petunia (OCD). Although most, if not all of the characters experience intense stress at times
Cuddle gets trapped inside a coffin in "Can't Stop Coffin" and experiences many injuries. However, he doesn't die until the end of the episode when he escapes the coffin but gets crushed by Lumpy's car immediately after.
Flippy has PTSD, Flaky has anxiety disorder, Russell has hysteria, Handy is a sociopath, the raccoon twins are kleptomaniacs, Disco Bear is a narcissist, Nutty is ADHD-coded, Lammy is possibly schizophrenic, and Petunia has OCD.
LOTS of screaming, most of which are way more visceral than the artstyle lets on. Be especially wary of Sniffles and Lumpy, as they have the most brutal ones.
In the series itself, no one is misgendered, however due to Flaky’s gender being mostly unconfirmed, fans speculate about their gender so Flaky can sometimes be misgendered.
Somewhat. Handy lacking hands, and Mole being blind are commonly used as jokes, which can, and often do contribute to characters getting hurt or worse. Some fans also interpret Fliqpy as an ableist trope against people who have DID (disassociative identity disorder)
why are people voting no on this? obviously stellar representation is not to be expected of a series like this but the mentally & physically disabled characters in the show are NOT handled well at all and are portrayed very stereotypically or otherwise in line with ableist tropes, examples describing such can be seen in the comments on other relevant triggers
There is smoke in some episodes. In Easy For You to Sleigh, Pop and Cub dies of carbon monoxide poisoning. Easy Comb, Easy Go depicts Disco Bear burning a hole in the ozone layer due to smoke from his hairdryer.
