A character who was long deceased at the start of the movie returns, sort of, with his spirit possessing the body of another man. We don’t see him disappear again, but the movie makes it very clear that he’s gone.
A man repeatedly harrasses a woman on the street. She eventually snaps and beats him with superhuman strength. Also, we learn in a flashback that the main villain had an abusive father and was bullied at school.
A flashback scene reveals a major character having had an abusive homelife as a child (includes father yelling at/physically shaking child, visual only no audio). There are also scenes of children being threatened and/or neglected.
It's also worth noting that Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor are implied to have had sex while Steve is possessing someone else's body. The implications of this are never addressed in the film, and it's not 100% clear that they did actually have sex, but it may still be upsetting to some
No jokes technically but the fact that Diana raped the guy who Steve’s mind is inside of is disturbingly glossed over and treated as a lighthearted relationship.
As someone very sensitive to broken bones, there were no visible breaks. I'm not sure why people are saying there are. You could assume bones are breaking due to some high-impact kicks and such, but nothing is shown and there are no broken bone sound effects.
In the form of domestic abuse. A very clear and strong handed smack on a mom, during a flashback. It is clear this is not the first hit. The mother is cowering in fear. The son sees and hears everything and is crying/devastated. These could certainly be described as torture, though I don't believe it is the colloquial perspective of 'torture' here.
No, but some small children are in danger of being hit/run over by a bunch of trucks and tanks (messy car chase/fight), which are heading straight towards them, unnoticed by the children. They're saved, but it's a near miss.
Arguably. Steve tells Diana he must be erased from existence so she can regain her powers and save the world. Also, we are told that the amazon Asteria sacrificed herself.
**SPOILERS** sort of; in order to be brought back from the dead, Steve Trevor's spirit is resurrected in someone else's body. It's never really explained what happens to that man's consciousness while Steve is inhabiting his physical form, and it's not possession in the traditional sense, but it's a similar idea
There are a couple of times where the villain is getting sick and he coughs a lot and it looks like possibly he may cough up something, but he doesn’t.
No, but someone is visibly very sick (for supernatural reasons). He's not bedridden, but he looks terrible and coughs, and the sickness visibly progresses throughout a large part of the movie.
This is viewed from the perspective of the back seat, like you are there. Broken glass, sudden impact. It is brief in an ongoing action sequence, and no one appears harmed directly from it.
The character looks like she has drowned, but actually is saved at the last minute. Scene could still be triggering for those who have phobias about drowning.
Wonder Woman gets a mini bullet wound to the shoulder during a car chase. Max gets a bloody nose talking to the President of the US. During the fight at the white house Wonder Woman gets a scrape on the shoulder.
As a result of the villain’s actions, tensions between nations escalates rapidly. In a vision, the character sees nuclear missiles launching into the sky. We don’t see victims on the ground.
At numerous points, including an ongoing gun fight/action scene. We also see a lead character shot. And also somewhat scared and taking cover from a lot of targetted gun fire.
