Episode 2: During a flashback, the duke of Hastings, the father of the main love interest Simon, is shown to be very verbally abusive, as his son has not started to speak, despite being quite gifted.
There is a moment where the duke picks up a brush, raising it up to "beat the words" out of his son, only for Simon to suddenly speak in a stammer, stopping the duke from hitting his son. However, the stammer only makes the duke verbally abuse his son even more, as he states the title of duke cannot pass to a "half wit".
-----
It is revealed through later episodes that Simon is left to be raised by the staff, with the duke fully ignoring that his son even exists.
-----
Episode 8: During another flashback, a teenaged Simon visits his father with his godmother Lady Danbury, as he has been living with her. He has been sending his father letters about his progress of learning to "properly speak", but it is shown his father never even opened them, as our main character Daphne finds the letters unopened in a drawer years later. (While she's reading these letters, the flashback happens)
Simon attempts to tell his father face-to-face about his progress, but when his father looks/glares at him, he starts to stammer again. The duke then states that Simon is "his greatest failure", that is a "great enough insult" that his son will one day inherit the dukedom, and that witnessing his struggle is "too great an insult". He gets close to Simon's face and tells him in a low tone that he is "as useless as his mother proved to be" (his mother died in childbirth), and that he will do the same with his son as he did with his late wife; to forget he ever even existed.
Luckily, Lady Danbury stands up for her godson, and after the duke's final words, she quickly ushers him out of the room again.

Not really. The artist character had an orgy at his house and is shown being intimate with a man. The artist’s wife is implied to be in a threesome without her husband. This seems to be acceptable within their marriage.
Late in season 1 a married man goes to a brothel with the intention to cheat but it doesn’t end up happening.

King George is shown to be quite confused and not remembering things properly, showing irritability and agression commonly shown in people with dementia/Alzheimers, though it is never stated that it is just that.
In season 1, while he is supposedly "lucid", he forgets his daughter died, and when reminded of it, believes his wife must've "done something" and becomes hysterical.
In season 2, during a wedding, he manages to leave his chambers and wanders into the bride-to-be's dressing room, where the guards attempt to take him back to his room. There is a sweet moment in which the bride-to-be calms him down by reminding him of how beautiful his wife looks, and what a wonderful queen she'll be, which soothes him enough to be brought to his room without a struggle.
