I don't think the dog was harmed. The dog performs one stunt, jumping out of a fake window. It's a little funny to watch, because the dog kind of looks like he's having a great time. He's even wagging his tail. Meanwhile, in the fiction, he's supposed to be jumping out, maybe, to his death in order to escape Jason.
