Arguably? I'm going to mark it as yes just to be safe. One of Faust's supers has him "kancho" his opponent, that being a Japanese schoolyard prank where someone jabs their index fingers into someone's clothed butt from behind. It's obviously not meant to come off as sexual assault, but it's worth mentioning especially if you are unfamiliar with the bit.
Kind of. Ky Kiske is in his mid to late 20s, while his wife is much younger. However, she is of a non human species that ages quickly, she is physically and mentally an adult.
While not a hanging, a playable character fights with a chain for a weapon, and has a special move that involves him pulling his opponent up in a visually similar manner. The attack is not fatal however.
one character's Instant Kill attack involves him summoning a giant snake to eat his opponent, however it disappears right after that and they are not digested.
Ky abandoned his son, Sin, and left him in Sol's care. However, it should be said that this was done out of concern for his safety, not out of disdain for the boy. He is still rightfully called out for it, and tries to make amends.
Not explicitly, but both I-no and Raven are designed and characterized with sadomasochistic elements. The latter especially takes enjoyment out of being injured in fights
Two of the playable characters are in a committed relationship together and neither of them cheat, but another playable character has a cinematic attack that has the opponent fall in love with her, and both of the former characters will comment on their relationship when hit by it.
Several characters use swords or blades as weapons in battle. The most graphic instance is probably Raven's taunt, where he impales himself on his own spikes, but no blood appears
Guilty Gear is a series that heavily involves philosophy in its lore, so existential themes often pop up, such as the human capacity for growth and personal freedom vs collective effort
The main antagonist of story mode is the "mother" to two sympathetic characters, and treats them horrendously. She is served justice courtesy of Sol Badguy and his friends.
A young child is manipulated and berated by an authority figure.
The main villain is also shown to abuse her children in several ways.
Neither of these instances are physical, though she does send something to kill one of her daughters.
Characters Baiken and Slayer are shown to smoke pipes but they are never mentioned.
Unsure if it's shown in-game, but in character Chipp Zanuff's bio, it says that he likes/liked sleeping pills. While I'm also unsure if it's mentioned in this game, he is also a former and recovered drug addict.
Jack-O's instant kill has the opponent buried up to their neck..and then comically kicked from out of orbit in over the top anime fashion. It's played to be silly.
A child character dies in the story mode; A character being framed for child murder is brought up in Faust's episode mode and discussed at fair length.
Raven is an immortal masochist who enjoys pain, and several of his animations involve self harm. One of his taunts has him summon a bunch of needles to impale himself, and one of his victory poses has him slice open his own throat, with blood spraying into the air.
Bedman's Instant Kill move, Nightmare Theatre, revolves around bringing up another characters trauma and forcing them to relive it. This tends to result in anxiety attacks and breakdowns.
Sin Kiske frequently binges on food due to his nonhuman biology requiring more nutrition than a human's would. While in context it's normal behavior, it may be uncomfortable for some
Very easy to miss. Bedman's instant kill involves subjecting his opponent to a vision of their past trauma, which is on occasion played for laughs. When used on Johnny, he sometimes shamefully recalls an attempt to flirt with a crossdressing man. It is likely that this is referring to a playable character who does not appear in this game, but would later come out as a trans woman.
The same character mentioned in "Does an LGBT person die?", a black man, is shown to have presumably died in the story mode but is shown to be alive an an epilogue.
Though neither are shown graphically, one of I-no's round victory animations involves her turning away from the camera and removing her top, and Dizzy's battle intro shows her sentient wings summoning her clothing, indicating she was naked beforehand.
