While waiting Itadori doesn't know if he will make it and begins to regret things saying he wants a proper death then we hear the signal. He changes to Sukuna and Sukuna stops to think how he can create trouble for Itadori. He convinces the curse to come with him to attack Megumi, the curse double-crosses him by trying to attack him.

In Volume 0/The Jujutsu Kaisen movie, a little girl is killed by being hit by a car, I haven't seen the movie but it's shown sort of graphically in the manga. There is also mention later on of a drunk driver killing a child in a hit and run, not sure if these are the same hit and run or not, but they're mentioned in different instances.
