Leena Klammer orchestrates a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility and travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. But Leena’s new life as “Esther” comes with an unexpected wrinkle and pits her against a mother who will protect her family at any cost.
This movie contains 37 potentially triggering events.
It happens prior to the events of this movie, but Esther has signs of throat mutilation that she attempts to keep hidden throughout the majority of the movie.
The family’s father is led to believe that his daughter is alive when she is not. Not textbook gaslighting per se, but a ruse that the rest of the family joins in on.
It is referenced that an older sibling killed his younger sister. (Not child abuse but an uncomfortable scene) Though Leena/Esther is not really a child there’s an uncomfortable scene in the beginning of her acting flirtatiously with a security guard in the mental institution, to me it is implied that he is attracted to her for not the right reasons.
1 hour, 7 minutes, 54 seconds - 1 hour, 8 minutes 3 seconds - Esther discovers that the rat that had been eating the food is deceased. He was very cute :(
1 hour, 9 minutes 47 seconds - 1 hour, 10 minutes 4 seconds - The mom dumps out her smoothie in the sink after taking a drink and the body of the rat is found is seen in the sink.

Still a no,they explain in the beginning that she’s of legal age. But she uses her height and her disorder to con people. People assume she is a child usually, but she doesn’t care to con them in any way. So she sexualizes herself.
No one vomits but when the mother tastes a smoothie she's given she turns to the sink and gags, was a little triggering for me but it only lasts a few seconds
Besides the marks on her there’s a scene on the airplane that could be triggering for some. Esther walks back into the bathroom, hits herself in the head, and hits her head multiple times on the wall.
the whole movie is about a person escaping a mental insitution and killing ppl. there is another person in the mental institution that attacks people too
A character made fun of Esther in the movie. In return she spoke in Russian to them and said something mean back. The character asked if she was speaking Spanish or something.
