Anyone who loves travel and Ewan McGregor will love these travel documentaries. But, towards the end of Long Way Round (the first show), there is a very upsetting bear hunt and in the early middle of Long Way Down there is a very tough scene involving a goat that is killed for supper that was really upsetting. It's important to realize that both scenes were representative of the culture and it helps from that perspective, but, both scenes are rough and were unexpected. The goat scene in particular was simply shocking. At first you are thinking what a sweet goat --- then, watch out. It actually turned me off the series for a while, but after a period of time, I started watching again, because the insight into the various countries and support of Unicef locations was too compelling. And then there's Ewan. The 3rd show -- Long Way Up -- is really terrific. The friendship of the 2 leads plus the amazing photography and electric cars/motorbikes is just great. But beware the end of the first season and the early middle of the second season. Still a bit queasy.
